Occidental Cigar Club - Amazing cigar joint in the heart of San Francisco. If you drop by, try their great whiskey collection and say hello to Jake or Thomas. Oso Diablo #002 is perched atop the bar.

Telford's Pipe and Cigar - Susie, Brian, and Thomas are great folks. This is one of the best-stocked cigar shops in the SF Bay Area. If you are in Marin County, this place should be on your list.

Shaper Tools - Innovative tool company run by Joe H., who is a great guy. We are mutually helping each other out by trying out their yet-unreleased products in new ways.

Mule Resophonic - Matt Eich makes amazing steel and brass resonator guitars. I first started following Mule on social media, and soon enough I started learning a lot about making guitars through reading their blog. I look forward to owning one of their beautiful instruments soon.

SF Guitarworks - Geoff Luttrell is a master at his craft. He taught me most of what I know about setting up guitars. I highly recommend you take his guitar setup workshop (they are small and fill up fast!). Monique and the rest of the team are very knowledgeable; they are my go-to guitar shop in the San Francisco Bay.

C.F. Holcomb Guitars - Chris Holcomb has been an inspiration and a great remote teacher. He makes instruments that look and sound beautiful in his workshop in Santa Cruz, CA. Many of my processes have been overhauled and improved thanks to my emails back and forth with him. If you need a custom guitar, he is your man.

Santa Cruz Guitar Company - I was fortunate to get an extensive tour of the SCGC shop from Richard Hoover himself . I learned a tremendous amount, and Richard was very welcoming and shared a lot about his process, down to the tiny precise measurements.

C.B. Gitty Crafter Supply - The best resource in the U.S. for parts specifically designed for cigar box instrument building. Ben B. and his team do tremendous work, and their customer service is flawless.

Stewart MacDonald - One of the oldest and most established luthier supply businesses in the land. They are great for ultra-specific and ultra-useful tools that make you wonder how you built anything before having them.

Luthier Mercantile International - My personal favorite to source fretboard and sometimes neck woods.

MacBeath Hardwood - Local San Francisco and Oakland suppliers of very high quality hardwoods. Great for special one-off requests for specific types of woods or veneers. They also ship their products, but I love handpicking woods.

Pacific American Lumber - Awesome wood supplier in Honolulu, HI. I handpicked a beautiful piece of koa from them. I am still figuring out what I am going to do with it...leaning towards a lap steel guitar.
